chanalyse.org is a research and informational service. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Purpose and nature of the service
The site publishes machine-assisted analysis of public 4chan discussion, a live dashboard, and a free JSON dataset. Everything here is provided for research, journalism and informational purposes. It is not a consumer product, not investment advice (see the disclaimer), and not a mirror or endorsement of the source forum.
Content licensing
- Thread-derived content. Articles and data summarise or quote public 4chan threads. Rights in the underlying posts remain with their original authors; nothing in these terms transfers those rights, and republishing quoted material is your responsibility.
- Our analysis. The articles, classifications, market-signal calls, datasets, methodology, code and site design are produced by qalarc and remain qalarc's intellectual property. The published JSON dataset may be used freely for research with attribution to chanalyse.org.
Acceptable use
You may read, quote and analyse the site for legitimate research and commentary. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, misrepresent chanalyse output as endorsement by any person or group, use the dataset to harass or unilaterally identify individuals, or resell the site's content as your own reporting.
API and automation courtesy
Most data is published as static JSON under /data/api/ — prefer those snapshots over
rapid repeated requests to dynamic endpoints. Keep automated access polite (low concurrency, no
aggressive loops); the /api/ counter endpoints are excluded from crawling via
robots.txt and may be rate-limited. If you need bulk access, email us first.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Analysis is machine-generated and may contain errors. To the maximum extent permitted by law — including under Australian Consumer Law, where statutory rights cannot be excluded — qalarc's liability for any claim arising from use of the site is limited to the extent possible at law, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of site content, including financial decisions.
Governing stance
chanalyse.org is operated by qalarc (Alexei Brown) in Australia. We resolve disputes informally where we can: team@qalarc.com. These terms are a plain-language statement of how the site may be used, not exhaustive legal boilerplate.
